The Tallahassee Museum held its annual Swamp Stomp music event on Saturday, July 11. It seems the performers weren't the only Museum attraction.
Some of the area's best bands and solo performers were on the Museum's stage as well-known Tallahassee singer-songwriter Del Suggs played master of ceremonies.
"This is the 48th Annual Summer Swamp Stomp! It's hard to believe it's been going on for all these years..."
Nearby, the Museum was welcoming its latest guest animal: a rare and exotic feline that Critter Curator Suzie Buzzo says can obtain a fish dinner without having to open a can of cat food.
"Marina's a fishing cat and they come from South and Southeast Asia."
While visitors watched, Marina was diving into the habitat pond and coming up with mouthfuls of minnows. Not much bigger than a domestic house cat, she'll be the Museum's guest animal for the rest of the year.
