The Tallahassee Museum was packed with people all weekend long, April 11 and 12. The turnout for two of the museum's signature events was greatly helped by nearly ideal weather.

The weekend began early Saturday morning with the museum's traditional Pioneer Breakfast. One of the volunteers dishing out the pancakes, sausage, grits and eggs was Nick Calabro.

"Oh, it's a beautiful day! We love being out here underneath the trees at the museum and it's just a great day for jazz and blues and Pioneer Breakfast."

The Jazz and Blues Festival began right after breakfast and continued through Sunday. A dozen of the area's very best musical ensembles graced the museum's stage.
