Multiple weekend shootings in Tallahassee are under investigation. One happened late Sunday afternoon leaving a man dead.
The Tallahassee Police Department says the fatal shooting was in the 2800 block of Faringdon Drive.
A TPD news release says officers found “an adult male was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were immediately attempted, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries.”
TPD says “preliminary findings indicate the shooting occurred during a physical altercation. Currently, there is no known ongoing threat to the public.”

Two more shootings were reported in the very early hours Sunday morning.
One person was shot on West College Avenue near students housing and Potbelly’s bar, not far from the FSU campus. An hour and a half later, four people were shot less than two miles away on Osceola Street near the FAMU campus. TPD says all have non life-threatening injuries. No further details have been released.
