Army veteran and community advocate Tifany Hill is running for Tallahassee City Commission Seat 5.
Hill said she’s running because she wants to be a voice that listens to residents. She disagrees with how the sale of the Capitol City Country Club golf course, and the recent talks about the transfer of Tallahassee Memorial healthcare to Florida State University are being handled.
“I feel like the community deserves leadership that listens, understands and acts with integrity plus research, so to do that due diligence and follow up with the people who bring issues before them,” she said.
While on the campaign trail, she says she wants to meet with people across Tallahassee.
“I want to find out what the needs are in each community, because every community is different,” she said.
Commissioner Dianne Williams-Cox currently holds that seat and is seeking reelection. Also running in the race are Joseph Kalicki and Bernard Stevens.
