The Tallahassee Animal Shelter Foundation is hoping for some community help this Saturday, January 31. From all indications, that effort will include a lot of beer.

The fun happening is called "Pints for Paws." Angela Jordan, foundation board member and event organizer, said the idea is to support the many things the foundation does to make the lives of the shelter's people and animals easier and more comfortable.

"The shelter volunteers actually saw a need for more because, as you know, most shelters are overcrowded and there's only so much that our cities can do with the limited resources that they have."

Pints for Paws happens at Goodwood Museum and Gardens Saturday beginning at noon. More than 30 craft brewers and homebrewers will offer their products for unlimited sampling. And there will be special tickets for designated drivers.
