A memorial in Gretna ends in a deadly mass shooting

Crime scene tape on a rainy night with police lights blurred in the background — Investigators say multiple suspects approached the gathering and started shooting. One person died at the hospital and four were injured.

A community memorial for a murder victim in Gretna Saturday night became the scene of a mass shooting.

Investigators say multiple suspects approached and started shooting.

Gretna Police say the gunfire on Beech Avenue left one person dead and four injured.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is leading the investigation.
