Saturday's showers didn't keep people away from Tallahassee's Lemoyne Arts Open House. The event showcased the recent expansion and renovation of the gallery, garden and art education building.

A local jazz trio provided the event's soundtrack.
Meanwhile, Lemoyne Board President Dan Taylor credited a great outpouring of community financial support for all the positive changes.

"Improvements abound here at Lemoyne and we're really looking to the future. We've been around for 62 years, and we want to do 62 more and beyond and to make sure we're continuously creating community through art, which is our byline."

Saturday's Lemoyne Open House included the naming of the backyard garden in honor of longtime Chain of Parks Art Festival leader Kelly Dozier. There was also the rollout of new app-based technology that provides narration for self-guided art tours.
