Downtown Tallahassee was swamped with visitors over the weekend for the 25th Annual Chain of Parks Art Festival. The participating artists seem to enjoy it as much as the thousands of visitors who thronged the two-day event.

For the past decade, Tallahassee's Chain of Parks Art Festival has been ranked among the nation's best by the artists who take part. Artists like painter Julie Goodin of Lady Lake, Florida, who said this was her fifth year.

"It's a great show. I love Tallahassee!"

For North Florida photographer Bill Chambers, the area is also a source of artistic inspiration.

"I love the Tallahassee area. Even though I live in Pensacola, probably 60 to 70 percent of my shooting takes place over here."

Chambers says the attraction is the local swamps and wetlands. Hometown jewelry maker Julie Konikoff simply enjoys taking part in the festival.

"I love Chain of Parks! The community, the people coming out, it's just a great time all around."
