A funeral will be held Sunday for the Tallahassee mom and son killed in a crash on Veteran’s Day.

Angelique Witmer and her son Gavin were on Tennessee Street heading to the city’s parade when a pickup truck crossed the median and hit their vehicle. Gavin was a drum major who was to perform in the parade with the Rickards High School band. His brother, also a band member, was seriously injured in the accident.

The Witmer family says the funeral for mom and son is Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bevis Funeral Home.

The family has set up a Go Fund Me for the Angelique and Gavin Witmer memorial Scholarship, which will benefit seniors in the Rickards High School Marching Band.
