A 17-year-old student has been arrested and charged with felonies following a Wednesday fight at Lincoln High School with an adult hall monitor.

A video of what appears to be the end of the altercation is making its rounds on Facebook, Reddit and other social media platforms. It appears to have been first shared a concerned parent.

In an email to parents Wednesday following the altercation, Lincoln High School Assistant Principal Jennifer Tibbitts said the fight began at lunchtime, and that the Leon County Sheriff’s office has launched an investigation.

It appears to have started after a student took a phone from the hall monitor. The social media video shows a large crowd of students with their phones up, filming two people fighting in the middle. A woman in a lilac-colored shirt and pink shoes with tattoos on her arm can be seen getting up from the floor and attacking a girl in a white shirt. The two are pulled apart by students. The students can be seen forming circles around the two people to keep them apart as the woman in lilac speaks into a walkie-talkie before saying that she needs her phone. The fight appears to have been short—between one and two minutes.

The teen was charged with attempted robbery by sudden snatching and battery of a school official.
