A fast-growing global ride share company has picked Tallahassee as its second Florida location.
Eleven years ago, InDrive started up as a ride share company with a difference. Adam Warner, who directs the firm's U-S presence, says customers can actually choose their driver and negotiate the price of their ride, all on the InDrive app.
"You submit a ride request, they pair you with the next closest driver. YOU have the ability to see all of the drivers bidding on your particular ride. So you have the freedom to choose what's most important to you."
InDrive entered the South Florida market in July of 2023 and its business has jumped 44 percent since then. Warner expects similar growth in the Tallahassee market with its large student population.
