More than a dozen campaign signs were arrayed along this short stretch of Magnolia Drive in advance of a previous election.

Discarded campaign signs will have a better destination this election cycle. Now a community partnership in Leon County will collect those signs for recycling.

League of Women Voters of Tallahassee's Meta Calder said there will be lots of places to drop off campaign signs after both the primary and general elections.

"The day after the election and for about a week, you can bring your signs to all the country library branches, plus Marpan, the Leon County waste site and the elections office itself."

Because Florida law gives candidates 30 days to remove their signs, Calder says the last three locations will take the signs for a full month.
