Big Bend school districts, including Leon, are announcing closures on Tuesday due to ongoing repairs and more incoming storms that are expected to bring more hazards to an already beleaguered area.

Florida A&M University is still trying to recover from storm damage and has closed several of its sites, including its main Tallahassee campus, the Quincy Farm, the FAMU Viticulture Center, and The Durell Peaden Jr. Rural Pharmacy Education Campus in Crestview.

Florida State University will stay open for business as usual.

The Big Bend and Leon County was hit with three tornados Friday. A new wave of storms is hitting the area carrying risks of more tornados, damaging winds and hail.

Also closed Tuesday are: Franklin, Gulf, Madison, Jefferson, Wakulla, and Taylor County Schools.
