Tallahassee’s Southern Shakespeare Company has a special treat for those who think the great playwright’s material is too slow-moving or obscure. This Friday night, Feb. 9, the entire Shakespeare catalog will be presented in just over an hour-and-a-half.
The show is called “The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)(Revised)(Again.)" It’s very much a tongue-in-cheek affair, which combines lots of characters and plot lines into an affectionate but hilarious send-up. Southern Shakespeare Communications Director Kelby Siddons said it’s something everyone – not just devoted Shakespeare fans – can enjoy.
“It is a great Valentine’s night out if you just want to have a good laugh, bring someone you’re sweet on, or your group of pals you need to have a good laugh with.”
Showtime is 7:00 p.m. Friday at TCC’s Turner Auditorium.
