Sixth grade students at 8 Title One schools in Leon and Gadsden counties will soon have even more reason to get excited when a colorful bus pulls up to the school. The mobile science classroom called the "MoBus" is getting an upgrade.

Tallahassee MoLab co-founder Trish Hanson said in-school science classes are great. But the MoBus provides a very special learning experience.

"There's something about a child getting hands-on and actually physically working with experiments and supplies and educational materials. And we supplement and compliment what's already in the classroom."

Thanks to the second part of a large grant from the All Points North Foundation, Hanson said the MoBus will get several improvements That includes the ability to serve more schools and students in the coming year.
