Feline Advocates of Tallahassee holds its yearly fundraiser this Saturday, Dec. 16. The event is moving to a brand new venue.

For many years, For Cats' Sake happened at Faith Presbyterian Church. In more recent years Feline Advocates' Michelle Hartsfield said it moved to the Lake Ella American Legion.

"We've just outgrown them. The size of the facility. Our numbers just keep increasing each year, so we've gotten a bigger place to help accommodate everyone and hopefully keep growing."

She said it was a place big enough to accommodate all the silent auction tables holding hundreds of donated art works and other items, most with a cat motif, all up for bid.

"It'll be at the Elks Lodge this Saturday from 4 until 7. Heavy oer d'voures, live jazz, and a special presentation from Sofia Camille, a local musician."

Event proceeds fund trap, neuter and release efforts and vet expenses for sick and injured cats.
