The largest Tallahassee Downtown Market in the history of the event took place on Saturday, Dec. 9. But there will be lots more activities coming up as the community enters its Bicentennial Year.
Saturday's season-ending market covered two whole downtown park segments between Adams and Calhoun streets. All those vendors, combined with several food trucks parked on Adams, brought the total to more than 100. Alexis Bondi, operations and event manager for the Downtown Improvement Authority, said plenty more happenings on tap.
"The Downtown Improvement Authority is working with the Bicentennial Steering Committee on all of those events, so there a few fun projects in the works."
She added the kickoff for all this is the New Years Eve celebration in Cascades Park. That will include live music, fireworks and many other attractions.
