It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but at least one Tallahassee store has already unveiled its special seasonal window display. The store is Susie Busch-Transou's Hearth and Soul on Market Street.

There, the front window is a visual tribute, not to Saint Nick, but to North Florida locations named for saints such as Saint George, Saint Teresa, Saint Joe, and Saint Marks. The exhibit is:

"An incredible, inspiring coastal Christmas that celebrates all of the special 'saint' locations in our region," exclaimed the owner and founder of the upscale emporium.

And while there are the usual grumblings of Christmas decor going up way early in advance, Busch-Transou thinks it's not too early for her shop to ease into the holiday spirit.

"Well, we always wait until after Oct. 31st. That's our first rule. And then we roll out the holiday window and start bringing our items to the floor. But we celebrate Thanksgiving with certain tablescape elements, carry-the-pumpkin and those types of things through then."

Besides, she added, many of her customers say they like getting a head start on their holiday gifting.
