Many students may not know about local opportunities available to them. High school students in Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, Wakulla and Franklin counties are invited to attend the expo.

The inaugural North Florida Worlds of Work Career Expo will be held Thursday and Friday in Tallahassee.

It's patterned after successful Worlds of Work events throughout the State of Alabama workforce system.

Thousands of high school students, teachers, and parents will descend upon Tallahassee Community College and Lively Technical College for hands-on opportunities in potential careers.

The expo includes ten “worlds,” or industries, that students will explore through fun activities.

Worlds of Work is designed to inspire students while showcasing in-demand, high-wage career options in the Big Bend. Students in Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, and Franklin counties are invited.

The expo is a project of the Talent Development Council, a group of local collaborators working to produce a pipeline of highly skilled talent and promote access to training and employment opportunities.
