Tallahassee Beer Festival tickets are going fast

From its beginning 5 years ago, the Tallahassee Beer Festival has been no stranger to quick ticket sales. But this year, those tickets are selling even faster than usual.

Beer Festival organizer Ben Graybar said the demand has been unlike anything he's seen.

"We are double where we were. We are almost halfway through all of our tickets in one week."

Whicn means more than one-thousand tickets of the twenty-one-hundred total already gone. Although he says the festival has found a way to let even more people enjoy the event.

"When you figure there are 110 brewers that bring 2 to 4 beers each, there's no way you can sample all of that! So they tend to get their fill and move on. We reopen the gates at half price halfway through and they can come back in. So we expect overall, maybe 2,500 people to enjoy the event."

The Tallahassee Beer Festival happens Saturday, August 26th at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center with United Partners for Human Services being the beneficiary.
