The housing market is in constant flux. For those looking to buy a home in the Tallahassee area, Saturday provided a wealth of resources by way of the Leon Home Expo at the county extension office.

One of the Expo's primary resources was the Tallahassee Lenders' Consortium. Its Executive Director Karen Miller, told those attending a multi-topic seminar at the expo that it's important for home buyers to focus on the place where they're looking to buy.

"You hear so much over the news and so much is national. Try to find out what's going on in your local community and what opportunities and services may be available locally. I think you may find it a little bit different and you may have some opportunities you didn't even think about."

Miller said her agency can advise buyers when it comes to finding, financing and finishing the best home for them.

"When I bought my first home, I wish there'd been an agency like the Tallahassee Lenders' Consortium, because it is so much information and we like sharing and giving opportunities to people, because this is our community where we live, too."
