A man is under arrest after a body was found Saturday behind a shopping plaza in the 3800 block of North Monroe Street. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says deputies responded to a wooded area that was determined to be a transient camp.
A knife was recovered, and after interviewing several witnesses, detectives identified 29-year-old Dusty McDonald as a suspect. He was quickly found at a home nearby on Crowder Road, where he was arrested for murder.

In June, the Leon County Sheriff's Office launched the Homeless Outreach Street team (HOST) to help reduce the number of unsheltered individuals.
