House District 8: Gallop Franklin wins Democratic primary

Democrat Gallop Franklin defeated four other candidates in the party’s primary race for House District 8 — which covers part of Leon County and all of Gadsden County. He faces Republican Curt Bender in November. The seat opened after state Rep. Ramon Alexander announced he wouldn’t seek reelection.
