A Tallahassee police officer was killed Wednesday when a shooting suspect crashed into the officer's car.

The Tallahassee Police Department is mourning the death of 34-year-old Officer Christopher Fariello. He is the officer who died Wednesday when a fleeing suspect crashed into his patrol car.

Fariello attended Florida State University, where he graduated with a degree in criminology in 2012. He worked for the Wilton Manors Police Department before returning to Tallahassee four years ago to work for TPD.

Fariello will be celebrated with full law enforcement honors. More information about the arrangements will be released as it becomes available.
