The entryway to Goodwill of the Big Bend's Prosperity Center in Tallahassee

After a long COVID hiatus, Goodwill Industries of the Big Bend has reopened its Tallahassee training center. The center's wide array of job-related courses are now available free to the general public.

For years, the Prosperity Center on Mabry Street has helped prepare Goodwill employees for success in the world of work. Now, Goodwill's Stacey Larkin said that resource is available to a wider client base.

"Help for people to find jobs, not only at Goodwill, but also out in the community, as well as attain training and certifications in lots of high-wage jobs in computer skills. In Adobe, we have logistics training. We have a number of Google trainings, including UX Design, Python, IT Support Professionals..."

With many people now considering new career directions, Larkin said a visit to Goodwill's Training Center, either in-person or online, may be a valuable first step.
