The wife of Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden made a Tallahassee stopover on Sunday, Nov. 1. It was a highlight of the day's "Souls To The Polls" march.
The march began at Tallahassee's Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. But first the honorary parade marshal, Dr. Jill Biden, was welcomed by a long list of local officials. Including Tallahassee Mayor Pro-tem Dianne Williams-Cox.
"Of all the places she could go, she's coming to Tallahassee. And you know what? I'm proud of the fact that she's a teacher!"
P.J. Floyd, the brother of George Floyd, shared his personal experience with Jill and her husband, Presidential Candidate Joe Biden.
"They comforted us for hours, talking to us when we were going through our pain."
In her talk, Jill Biden spoke of her own recent crisis of faith, now resolved, and the importance of the final days of the campaign.
"If we win here, there is no stopping us!" she exclaimed to loud applause and cheers from the several hundred in attendance.
And then the crowd marched from the church to the early voting site at the Civic Center.
