Liberty County residents are beginning to line up at the polls to cast their ballot this election season.

Early voting starts today in Liberty County. The area has over 4,000 registered voters. Supervisor of Elections Grant Conyers says he visited the Liberty County Courthouse this morning to see how things were going.

"When I got here, there was two or three in line and two or three inside voting, so we've had a really good participation in Bristol so far," Conyers says.

The courthouse and the Hosford-Telogia Fire Department are the only polling locations open for early voting in the County. After visiting the courthouse, Conyers visited the fire department, where he says things were also going smoothly.

"We've trained our poll workers, and our staff is ready for the busyness of elections," Conyers says.

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Sunday. And next week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Early voting in Liberty County ends October 31.
