Members of the Economic Club of Florida had an online visit from President Donald Trump during the meeting of Wednesday, Oct. 14. They joined five other Economic Clubs across the country, which heard the president and also got to ask questions.
Economic Club of Florida Chair Cindy O'Connell asked her club's question for President Trump:
"How important is funding for infrastructure projects, like airports, bridges, roads around the country to national security? And how do these figure into your next term?"
Before addressing those needs, the president said his top priority was what he called the nation's largest infrastructure project.
"The Wall is one of the biggest infrastructure plans ever. The Wall is a massive, very highly technical and expensive wall that's given us a tremendous border," he said.
Trump also spoke of how he'd been "cured" of the coronavirus by the treatments he'd received and blasted his Democratic election opponent Joe Biden. The Florida Economic Club was one of 6 across the country receiving the special online feed from the White House. C-SPAN also carried the transmission live.
