The Florida State Seminoles lost their first football game of the season.

The Florida State Seminoles lost their first home game of the 2020 football season. The opposing team, Georgia Tech, won by three points. FSU Coach Mike Norvell says his players came out with good energy, scoring 10 points in the first quarter, but then struggled to retain that momentum.

“We have to respond. Nobody wants to start like we just did, but this football team does not have to be defined by tonight. They will be defined by how they respond to this situation and how we move forward," Norvell says.

Norvell says the loss was heartbreaking to players. FSU will face off against the Miami Hurricanes on September 26.
