When Liberty County students board the school bus, their temperatures will be checked.

Students in Liberty County will return to classes on August 31. Here's a look at some of the changes students can expect for the new year.

Students will have their temperatures checked before getting on the bus or entering the school building. Staff will ask them screening questions to determine if the student needs to be sent home. Masks will be available at entrances for anyone who needs one. Meals will be served in closed containers, and students will either eat in the cafeteria or outside. Teachers will regularly disinfect their classrooms, and PE teachers will wipe down all playground equipment after each class.

Robbie Gaffney graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Digital Media Production and Creative Writing. Before working at WFSU, they recorded FSU’s basketball and baseball games for Seminole Productions as well as interned for the PBS Station in Largo, Florida. Robbie loves playing video games such as Shadow of the Colossus, Animal Crossing, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Their other hobbies include sleeping and watching anime.
