The Thomasville City School Board will be looking to fill an empty seat during an upcoming special election on November 2. The vacancy comes from board member David Cone’s resignation. He represented District two.

Whoever gets the vote will serve the remainder of Cone’s term, which ends December 31, 2021. The City Council will decide Monday whether to charge a $35 fee for candidates who wish to run. If approved, the application period will begin on July 29 and end July 31.
