Several Tallahassee restaurants have shut down after workers tested positive for COVID-19. Among them: Midtown Pies, Bella Bella, and Happy Motoring. The latter is owned by For the Table Hospitality. Managing Partner Matt Thompson says he hopes local officials will act quickly to set safety guidelines for businesses:

“Let’s set a standard set of guidelines of what everybody agrees to do that way we don’t get into a situation where public outcry or the internet is dictating what the standards will be.”

Gov. Ron DeSantis recently announced the state is planning to aggressively go after restaurants and bars that violate social distancing and capacity guidelines.
