A Tallahassee ad agency has created a single source for locally-produced "how-to" videos. The organizers are also using this as a voluntary fund-raiser for area non-profits.
Any how-to or do-it-yourself video is welcome, as long as it's a hometown production. The name of the site is "Learn From A Local."
"Once you create your video, you just go to learnfromalocal.com and then click on 'submit a video' and you'll be prompted to create an account and once you do that, you fill out a submission form and you're good to go," says the Taproot Agency's Stacy Getz.
And even though the site just launched, Getz said it's already attracting submissions.
"We've got at least a couple of dozen businesses already on the website. Some of them have two and three videos already posted and there's no limit to how many businesses we'll feature, so we're inviting everyone to check it out."
Topics so far include fitness, home improvement, cooking and homeschooling. There is also a way to support area non-profits if site visitors are so inclined.
