With all the bad employment news, it might seem there are no jobs to be had. But a new resource from the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce shows a surprising number of local job opportunities are now available.
Chamber President Sue Dick saidthe new "Jobs Now" page fulfills a number of functions.
"It was really to focus on three priority areas, including being a hub to promote open positions and companies and local businesses that are actually hiring right now and put that information out there for our community who we know have been so impacted by this and have potentially lost their jobs."
On the very day of its rollout, the Chamber's "Jobs Now" page listed more than two dozen employers with employee openings. The site also has job training and other job resource links.
