Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell Has Chosen Three New Deputy Chiefs

Jason Laursen, Tonja Bryant-Smith, and Maurice Holmes will be Tallahassee’s new deputy chiefs. 

Laursen has been with TPD since 1998. He’s worked in vice and narcotics and commanded criminal investigations. Bryant-Smith worked for the Tallahassee Police Department for 11 years before leaving to work at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. She was a special agent supervisor to organized crime and counterterrorism squads. Holmes was born in Tallahassee but works as a captain with the Thomasville Police Department. He has worked in law enforcement for 25 years. The three deputy chiefs will be a part of new police Chief Lawrence Revell’s command staff.

Robbie Gaffney graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Digital Media Production and Creative Writing. Before working at WFSU, they recorded FSU’s basketball and baseball games for Seminole Productions as well as interned for the PBS Station in Largo, Florida. Robbie loves playing video games such as Shadow of the Colossus, Animal Crossing, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Their other hobbies include sleeping and watching anime.
