British Band Kero Kero Bonito Brings Its Indie Electropop Sound To Tallahassee

Kero Kero Bonito is currently on tour and one of its stops is a Tallahassee music venue and bar, The Wilbury. The band has more than 30 shows lined up on its North American tour.

The international band made its debut in 2014 with a mixtape titled “Intro Bonito.” The band is best known for its 2016 hit single “Flamingo.”

Kero Kero Bonito or KKB is known for its unconventional sound combining British and Japanese cultures through beats, singing, and rap.

The band’s name is a nod to diversity. It holds many meanings depending upon the culture using it. For example in Japan it is a frog sound and a fish reference. In some Spanish countries it means “I want pretty.”

This is set to be KKB's largest North American tour.

Although Tallahassee is their first show in Florida during the tour, KKB has four other Florida shows lined up including Gainesville, Tampa, Orlando and Miami.

The Tallahassee show will be held this Sunday. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m.
