Gramling's Closing its Doors After 104 Years

Tom Flanigan

Tallahassee’s oldest continuously operated store is closing. Gramling’s feed store just south of the Capitol is calling it quits after 104 years in business.

The family-operated store, first opened in 1915, announced its closing on social media. Besides animal feed, Gramling’s featured hardware of any and all descriptions and a vast assortment of sundries that, like the building they occupied, seemed transported from an earlier, simpler time. The store’s official last day of business will be on Saturday, June 29th.
