Former Tallahassee Mayor and Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum has an announcement coming this March.

Last Friday, the former political candidate teased an announcement with a promo video.

That night Gillum released a website, bringithomefl.org at the South by Southwest Conference with NBA Star Chris Bosh in attendance.

“There’s only one reason I ‘m here tonight and that is to do everything in my personal power to flip this nation blue in 2020,” said Gillum.

Gillum was hoping to become the first black governor of Florida and return the state leadership to the Democratic Party.

However, that ended in November when he lost against Ron DeSantis. Gillum says he knows the experience of running too well.

“I spent two years of my life running all around the state of Florida trying to do everything in my power to wrest away power democrats haven’t had for 24 years. I won’t burry the lead I ran for governor and I didn’t win and my consolation we get to work together in this amazing evening as we work to help get democrats elected,” said Gillum.

Gillum ended up conceding the race twice following a recount.

“We know this fight continues, despite of the outcome of this election. R Jai and I are committing ourselves alongside each and every one of you. More than 4 million of you decided you wanted a different direction for the state of Florida and we want you to know we see you and we hear you,” said Gillum.

Since his loss, Gillum has made headlines by becoming a political commentator for CNN and a visiting fellow for The Institute of Politics at Harvard.

Now he’s plotting his next move. But, won’t say what he plans to announce on March 20th in Miami. He’s currently giving out tickets to the event on “bringithomefl.org” website, which is an echo of his campaign mantra.

The site is paid for by Bring it Home Florida Incorporated, a non-profit 501C3 that was established January 31st. The promo video was paid for his PAC, Forward Florida.

*Correction: An earlier version of this story said Gillum was selling tickets on his website. The group is giving them out, not selling them.
