Tallahassee Is Celebrating Black History All Month Long

People can celebrate Black History Month with Leon County at the African American Read-In on Sunday, February 10 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the LeRoy Collins Main Library. Librarians will be highlighting African-American authors.

Tallahassee Democratic Representative Ramon Alexander and Judge Nina Richardson will speak at “The Studio” come February 20th.

The Riley House holds its 15th Annual fundraising Gala Thursday, February 28th.

Leon County also features several stops on the state’s Black Heritage Trail. Local features include FAMU’s Black Archives, the Knott House and the Union Bank Building.
