Scott Campbell's Loving Legacy Continues

musicfestnews.com

The Second Annual Scott Campbell Feed the Community Festival happens this coming Sunday, Nov. 4 at Tallahassee's Lake Ella. The recent hurricane has increased the urgency of the occasion.

Lake Ella Merchant and Festival coordinator Wendy Halleck said the event is a tribute to its one-time driver, local musician Scott Campbell who died almost two years ago.

"When he passed away, it just came to us that we needed to bring (the event) back in his honor and call it the Scott Campbell Feed the Community Festival," she explained.

To help raise money this year, much of Campbell's massive music collection will be auctioned off. Local bands, including Sawmill Jam, Belle and the Band and Revival will provide the soundtrack. And Halleck was hoping everyone would bring non-perishable food to help Second Harvest of the Big Bend.

"So we're really hoping for a great turnout and people to bring a lot of food, come bid on some auction items so we can raise some badly-needed food and funds for the food bank."

The Festival kicks off at noon this Sunday at Lake Ella.
