The Tallahassee Fire Department has launched an internal review after a house fire it put out later re-started. The residence is the home of two local environmentalists.

The county’s dispatch agency received a call Sunday at 10:40 p.m. regarding a  house fire on Buckingham Drive.  No one was inside at the time, and initial damages were estimated at $160,000.

Another call came in Monday at 5 a.m. reporting the house was on fire again.

The house is home to Kim Ross and Brian Lee, two well-known local environmentalists. In a facebook message, Ross says all pets are safe, but that the home may be a total loss. Ross and Lee were out of town on vacation at the time of both fires. WTXL Reporter Jada Williams was filming outside the home as it reignited for the seconnd time and called 911.
