With a winter storm warning in effect from 1 a.m. to noon Wednesday, schools are beginning to announce plans to close.
Leon County Schools will be closed Wednesday.
Gadsden County Schools will be closed Wednesday.
Jefferson County Schools will be closed Wednesday.
Madison and Wakulla schools will be closed Wednesday for district employees.
Florida State University will be closed from midnight Tuesday until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Florida A&M University will be closed Wednesday.
Tallahassee Community College is closed Wednesday
City offices will open after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Freezing temperatures coupled with up to an inch of snow and ice are expected. The winter storm advisory impacts Leon and Franklin Counties in Florida, and Tift, Colquitt and Thomas Counties in Georgia.
