Republican Congressman Neal Dunn took to the House floor Thursday to speak out against the actions of a man who drove a truck into a Bay County government facility. Dunn maintains an office in the building.
“It is a sad day to witness someone so troubled take such an action and ultimately their own life,” Dunn said. “While there is still much to learn about this person’s motivations and the reason behind this attack on a public building we should all remember that no matter how inflamed our passions, violence is never the answer.”
Local authorities haven’t released the name of the driver according to The Panama City News Herald, but they don’t believe the crash was aimed at public officials. No county workers were hurt.
