The original date last month was rained out, but Education Coordinator Brian Wiebler confirmed the Tall Timbers Research Station’s yearly Fire Festival will be taking place this Sunday, Feb. 19
“Helping the general public understand why we’re using prescribed fire, being supportive of that but then also helping practitioners who are out there putting fire on the landscape, helping answer questions that they have about how to do this better, how to handle their smoke better, providing those research resources," Wiebler said.
The Tall Timbers Fire Festival happens Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Research Station on State Road Twelve near the Florida/Georgia line.
