Friday Deadline For Local Human Trafficking Awareness Art Contest Submissions
Local artists have until midnight Friday to submit their entries for a human trafficking awareness contest. It’s hosted by the Big Bend Coalition Against Human Trafficking. Robin Hassler Thompson is a member of the coalition.
“We hope to have submissions where we have artists in our community, submitting works of art—sculptures, paintings, photographs, whatever—depicting both the horrors of trafficking and the freedom of what happens when you are out of that situation. In fact, it’s called ‘Imagine Freedom: A Call To End Human Trafficking,’” she said, on WFSU’s Perspectives show Thursday.
