A new season of performances at the amphitheater in Tallahassee’s Cascades Park gets underway this weekend. This year’s lineup will include a classic rock & soul superstar.
Visit Tallahassee’s Lauren Pace called this a part of the new “Spring on Stage” collection of events.
“The ‘Spring on Stage’ is the umbrella that we put over all the wonderful spring events that are happening in Tallahassee.”
Pace said the grand opening for the Cascades Amphitheater season is now upon us.
“It kicks off this coming up Saturday evening (2/27/16) with O.A.R. and opening for them is The Hunts,” she explained. “It continues into April, so on April 8, Dawes will be performing, on April 9, it’s Jason Isbell who just took home two Grammys at the awards two weeks ago and then April 22nd, it’s Boz Scaggs.”
Pace said, as time goes on the Cascades Amphitheater will be able to attract an even greater pool of top performing talent.
“And you know, that is the goal is to continue to establish the reputation of the venue so we can get top-tier performers. And here we are in the third or second season and the talent keeps growing, so hopefully that will continue.”
