Valdosta State University will host Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump. Trump will speak at the school's P.E. Complex February 29, in the run-up to Super Tuesday.
Trump was in Atlanta this past weekend following a decisive victory in the South Carolina GOP Primary. He scored a big win in the first election since that state switched to a winner-take-all delegate system. Now he's heading into Southern Georgia as candidates prepare for Super Tuesday March 1, when several states, including Alabama, Texas and Virginia, hold primaries.
Doors are expected to open for the event at 4 p.m., while the rally is expected to begin at 6 p.m.
Recent polls show Trump is leading other GOP candidates for the Republican presidential nomination in Georgia. He's also a heavy favorite to win Florida when the Sunshine State holds its primaries on March 15.
Former Florida Governor and GOP Presidential hopeful Jeb Bush dropped out of the race this past weekend, after a poor showing in South Carolina. Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio remains in the race.
