According to an advisor of Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, some are calling for the mayor to run for Congress. But that may not be the case anytime soon.
Despite rumors of a possible bid for Florida’s 5th Congressional District, Mayor Andrew Gillum says he’s not in the race.
“I have no plans of running for Congress. I absolutely love my job as mayor. I love the community that my wife and I have adopted as our home,” he said.
The buzz follows the Florida Supreme Court’s decision Wednesday to sign off on new congressional district maps.
