Fort Braden Assistant Principal Rouse Dies

Patricia Rouse, Assistant Principal of Fort Braden School, died Tuesday. She was 45 year old.

The Assistant Principal of Leon County’s Fort Braden Elementary School died Tuesday. Patricia Rouse was 45 years old.

Fort Braden School Principal Jimbo Jackson announced Patricia Rouse’s death to colleagues through an email Wednesday morning. Rouse had been the school’s assistant principal for five years. Before that, she was a teacher and reading coach at the former Belle View Middle School.  

In a statement, Jackson describes Rouse as a "role model and outstanding mentor to many students and families in the Fort Braden School community."

Rouse died at Tuesday evening at a hospital. How she died is unknown at this time.
