A memorial service will be held Monday for the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy who recently lost his life.
The memorial for Bill Myers will be held in the Raider Arena at Northwest Florida State College located at 100 College Blvd in Niceville. Open to the public, it will begin at 11 a.m.
Immediately following the memorial service, a motor vehicle procession will take place, heading toward The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island.
About a week ago, Myers was killed, after he was shot multiple times in the back by a suspect he’d served a domestic violence injunction to outside a law office.
The 25-year veteran of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s office had come out of retirement earlier this year to earn some cash to take his family to Disney World.
